*warning, we are talking about having your period so avoid this post if you don't want to hear about it.* https://www.womensvoices.org/2020/02/28/wait-what-now-there-are-phthalates-in-tampons-and-pads-too/ Yeah, I may be "old" and "worn out" from childbirth but there is always a great time to talk about the good old menstrual cycle. I am have been around the block when it comes to this topic because of course, it has been going on 30 years since menarche (side note: menarche is the term in relation to a female's first menstrual cycle. Continue with your program.) but due to many, many, many, factors, I can relate to just about everyone when it comes to this topic. I mean, Aunt Flo is the reason I became a vegetarian. I am going to break this down in phases and deliver the "goods" in between. Phase 1- Menarche to 29 years old- The Rough Years I really thought I was an infertile beast during this time that most likely would die in her apa...

Are You and/or the Kids Are on Fire? No! You are OK!

Are the kids on fire right about now? No. You are doing a good job. I feel like we all need to hear that at this time. Since it has been well over a month since the stay at home recommendations, I have seen more people lose it with me being in that group. We had parks open where I could take him to just play in the park for an hour or two. We don't have that now. We have money because hubby and I work but I hate how Gr...

Image
I fell. I admit it. There have been more times than I have fallen off the wagon and ate something that I knew was not vegan. There have been plenty of times that I have either not eaten or eaten something I know I should not have. There are many times where I am questioning using Carmex. ( If you are fully adopting the vegan lifestyle you should know that Carmex has beeswax in it. Many of those chapstick products do. Yikes!) Also, my hair products- totally not vegan but once again I just can NOT give up honey. They are one of the reasons I love bees so very much. I love their throw up. (Please look that up before judgment.) This dish in particular. It was sooooo good but it had eggs in it. Everything was vegan except for those eggs!! So, I re-evaluated my life. Once again. ( I feel like this will NOT be the last time.) Let's try this again. . . My vegan French Toast Aaaaaaah! L'amour. So, in order to make this, there are a couple things you should have on deck. . . ...
